Role Overview

As our VP of Sales, you will be the driving force behind our revenue growth and customer acquisition strategy. This senior leadership role requires 15-20 hours per week and offers significant equity potential as you build and scale the sales function for our innovative coaching platform. You'll develop and execute sales strategies, build and lead the sales team, establish sales processes and metrics, and drive revenue growth across both B2C and B2B channels.

This position is ideal for an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of building sales organizations, driving revenue growth, and scaling sales operations in a startup or high-growth environment. You'll have the opportunity to shape the sales strategy from the ground up and build a team that helps expand access to life coaching.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for both B2C and B2B markets
  • Define sales targets, quotas, and revenue goals aligned with company objectives
  • Identify and prioritize target customer segments and market opportunities
  • Create sales forecasts and track performance against goals
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategy
  • Develop pricing strategies and sales packages that maximize revenue and value

Sales Team Building & Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top sales talent
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team with clear goals and expectations
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for sales team members
  • Establish sales culture and best practices across the organization
  • Manage sales performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement improvement plans
  • Foster collaboration between sales and other departments

Sales Process & Operations

  • Design and implement scalable sales processes and methodologies
  • Establish CRM systems and sales tools to track pipeline and performance
  • Create sales playbooks, scripts, and collateral to support the sales team
  • Develop and manage sales funnels from lead generation to close
  • Implement sales metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards
  • Optimize sales operations for efficiency and scalability

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth across all sales channels and customer segments
  • Build relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute account management strategies for customer retention and expansion
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities and market segments
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead generation and conversion optimization
  • Support strategic partnerships and B2B sales initiatives

Sales Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to leadership
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in sales performance
  • Use data to inform sales strategy and decision-making
  • Monitor conversion rates, sales cycle length, and customer acquisition costs
  • Report on sales pipeline health and revenue projections

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in sales leadership roles
  • Proven track record of building and scaling sales organizations
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B sales models
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools
  • Comfort with a flexible, results-oriented role with significant equity upside

Preferred

  • Experience in the coaching, wellness, healthcare, or personal development industries
  • Background with digital platforms, SaaS, or marketplace business models
  • Experience with subscription-based or recurring revenue models
  • Previous startup experience or experience scaling sales from early stage
  • Knowledge of sales automation and technology tools
  • Experience with sales training and enablement programs
  • Network of contacts in target industries and markets
