Role Overview
As our VP of Growth, you will be the strategic leader responsible for driving user acquisition, engagement, and platform expansion. This senior leadership role requires 15-20 hours per week and offers significant equity potential as you build and execute growth strategies that scale our platform's reach and impact. You'll work across marketing, product, and data to identify growth opportunities, design and run experiments, and optimize the entire user journey from awareness to retention.
This position is ideal for a growth leader with a data-driven mindset, experience in scaling user bases, and a passion for experimentation. You'll have the opportunity to shape growth strategy from the ground up and build systems that help more people discover and benefit from life coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies across all channels and touchpoints
- Define growth metrics, KPIs, and targets aligned with company objectives
- Identify high-impact growth opportunities and prioritize initiatives
- Create growth roadmaps and coordinate cross-functional execution
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform growth strategy
- Develop channel strategies for acquisition, activation, retention, and referral
User Acquisition & Marketing
- Design and execute user acquisition campaigns across multiple channels
- Optimize marketing funnels and conversion rates at each stage
- Develop and test messaging, positioning, and value propositions
- Manage marketing budgets and optimize spend for maximum ROI
- Build partnerships and referral programs to drive organic growth
- Collaborate with marketing team on content, SEO, and paid advertising strategies
Product-Led Growth & Optimization
- Work with product team to identify and implement growth features
- Optimize onboarding flows and user activation processes
- Design and test in-product growth mechanisms and viral loops
- Improve user engagement and retention through product improvements
- Analyze user behavior data to identify growth opportunities
- Implement A/B tests and experiments to optimize conversion and engagement
Data & Analytics
- Establish growth analytics infrastructure and dashboards
- Track and analyze growth metrics across the entire user journey
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights from user data
- Measure and report on growth experiment results and ROI
- Use data to inform growth strategy and prioritize initiatives
- Build predictive models and forecasts for growth planning
Experimentation & Testing
- Design and run growth experiments across channels and touchpoints
- Establish experimentation frameworks and best practices
- Analyze experiment results and make data-driven decisions
- Scale successful experiments and iterate on learnings
- Build a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement
- Document and share learnings across the organization
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
- 7+ years of experience in growth, marketing, or product roles
- Proven track record of driving user acquisition and growth at scale
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with growth analytics
- Experience designing and running growth experiments and A/B tests
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort with a flexible, results-oriented role with significant equity upside
Preferred
- Experience in the coaching, wellness, healthcare, or personal development industries
- Background with digital platforms, SaaS, or marketplace business models
- Experience with subscription-based or two-sided marketplace growth
- Previous startup experience or experience scaling growth from early stage
- Knowledge of growth tools, analytics platforms, and marketing automation
- Experience with product-led growth and viral mechanisms
- Strong network in growth and marketing communities
