Preparing something amazing for you!
I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University and have been a licensed Social Service Worker (SSW) for 20 years (since 2005), specializing in work with at-risk children, adults, and families affected by mental illness. I also hold a Child Welfare Certificate. Throughout my career, I have supported over 2,000 clients in developing communication, relationship, and behavioral skills, helping them understand how the brain and body function during times of struggle. My experience includes working with children and adults with ADHD (both newly and long-term diagnosed) and other mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, OCD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have also consistently worked with veterans and survivors of trauma and terrorist attacks. My clients come from diverse backgrounds, including teachers, healthcare professionals, parents, students, artists, and professionals in technology, engineering, design, and business—from startups to large corporations. I have practiced in various settings, including special education, residential and day treatment centers, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), child welfare agencies, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and remote coaching. I enjoy collaborating with parents to support their children's mental health and special needs, and I am passionate about helping my clients navigate the process of getting support—whether that involves learning new skills, understanding a diagnosis, or accessing medication and therapy.
I love outside-of-the-box thinking and coming up with creative ideas as well as real life scenarios to help my clients understand a concept. I enjoy creating resources to help them learn, grow, and be successful. I love to use humor as often as I can- I use sarcasm, movie and music quotes, social media, and dark humor. I celebrate and laugh with my clients and am here to help you on your journey to your best self! I like to have fun during our sessions and build rapport and trust. Let's have fun working on new skills in a fun way! My life's ambition is to make a difference in the world. I use strength-based perspective, and I love to see their progress and success! I have worked with people on 5 continents and from all over the world! I love helping people feel supported and that what they are struggling with is normal. I have an extensive background in mental health and help support people to understand their brains and be their most successful selves! Helping people comes natural to me and I am happy to use the skills I've learned over my career to help people have happier, more successful lives! Staci Fun Facts: I love the randomness of life: I can fit my body through a coat hanger, in a suitcase, and in the dryer! I did a humanitarian trip to Thailand and got to ride an elephant and go white water rafting in the jungle. It was amazing! I've donated my hair 12 times since 2002 (over 10 feet) to help those who can't grow hair. I am known for getting free food deals.
